Anthraquinone dyes straddle the visible and the near infrared part of the spectrum.  They are noted for their thermal stability and ability to survive in hostile environments.

These dyes will withstand the high temperatures and amine curatives of epoxy systems unlike the amminium or dithiolene family of dyes.
